Israeli settlers set Palestinian home on fire

Israeli settlers set Palestinian home on fire
Extremist Israeli settlers on Wednesday evening burned down a Palestinian house al-Khalil’s Old City, in the southern occupied West Bank.

According al-Khalil’s Reconstruction Committee, Israeli settlers set fire to the house of Izeddin Sharabati, which is located in a military area near the illegal settlement of Abraham Avino, adjacent to the Ibrahimi Mosque.

The Sharabati family had lived in the building for many years until they were forced to leave it due to continued assaults by Israel’s settler gangs.

On Wednesday Israeli settlers took over a Palestinian residential building and a plot of land in Wadi Hilweh neighborhood in Silwan town.

The building has two 120-meter apartments inhabited by Maswada family and owned by another Palestinian family currently living in the United States, while the seized land's area is over one dunum and it is located close to al-Aqsa Mosque.

The settlers, escorted by an Israeli police force, broke into the two apartments, forced women and children out, and stayed there.

Israeli settler groups spare no effort to take control of as many Palestinian properties as possible in Wadi Hilweh to turn them into settlement outposts. This all falls in line with a larger Judaization plan targeting the neighborhood.
