1:> World Wide Web
The World Wide Web “WWW” is a collection of millions of web pages stored in millions of computers all over the world. In fact, it is the storehouse of information on the internet. You can get information on the different topic from different websites, which are nothing but locations on the Internet A website usually comprises of multiple web pages and the main page is called the home page. Each web page is like a page of a book, providing information in the form of text, pictures, audio and video files.
The web pages in World Wide Web are interconnected in complex ways. The hyperlinks connect different web pages and form the World Wide Web.
2:> Hyperlinks
Hyperlinks are usually highlighted words. They are usually underlined or highlighted in a different colour to indicate that they are Special words. When you point your mouse on a hyperlink, it changes from an arrow to a hand. When you click on a hyperlink, it magically transports you to another web page which may belong to a different sitealtogether. Usually this web page gives moredetailed information on the word that was clicked.
3:> Web Browser
A web browser is a software application that allows you to access websites and view web pages, once you are connected to the net. Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox are the two most commonly used web browsers.
At the top of the web browser is an address line. Here type the address of the location on internet to visit. For example to access the any site, you can typeFor examplehttp://www.xyz.com
The first part of the address HTTP specifies the protocol which the computer will use to get information from this site. Protocol called Hypertext
Transfer Protocol. The second part www stands forWorld Wide Web. This is follow by the name the website.
