تفصیلات کے مطابق اقوام متحدہ میں پاکستان کی مستقل مندوب ملیحہ لودھی نے جنرل اسمبلی میں سلامتی کونسل کی کارکردگی پر مباحثے سے خطاب کیا۔ اپنے خطاب میں انہوں نے کہا کہ اقوام متحدہ قراردادوں پر عدم عملدر آمد کی قیمت کشمیریوں نے اپنے خون سے ادا کی۔

ملیحہ لودھی کا کہنا تھا کہ قراردادوں کو نظر انداز کرنا سلامتی کونسل کی ساکھ پر سوالیہ نشان ہے، مسئلہ کشمیر اقوام متحدہ کی قراردادوں پر عدم عملدر آمد کی واضح نشانی ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ حالیہ بھارتی غیر قانونی اقدام سے کشمیر میں جبر میں اضافہ ہوا، مقبوضہ کشمیر میں انسانیت سوز مظالم کو ختم ہونا ہوگا۔ سلامتی کونسل کو کرفیو ختم کروانے میں کردار ادا کرنا ہوگا۔

ملیحہ لودھی نے مزید کہا کہ سلامتی کونسل جبری گرفتاریاں اور پیلٹ گنز کا استعمال بھی رکوائے۔

گزشتہ روز سلامتی کونسل میں افغانستان پر مباحثے سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے پاکستانی مندوب نے کہا تھا کہ مذاکراتی عمل کو لگے حالیہ دھچکے سے امن کی کوششوں میں کمی نہیں آنی چاہیئے۔
ملیحہ لودھی نے کہا تھا کہ پاکستان نے ہمیشہ کہا کہ افغانستان کا حل فوجی نہیں، مذاکرات ہیں۔ امریکا اور طالبان معاہدے کے قریب پہنچتے دکھائی دے رہے تھے۔ افغانستان میں امن کوششوں میں پاکستان اپنا کردار ادا کرتا رہے گا۔
