Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi termed the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as the country’s cricketing identity and saying the national team benefits from the league.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, the veteran cricketer said the talent in Pakistan’s Twenty20 and One-day International teams has groomed courtesy PSL.
Afridi, who is representing Multan Sultans in the on-going edition, urged fans to come in numbers at the venues to watch PSL matches.
“I want crowds to come in big numbers and the Pakistan Cricket Board must also chalk out a plan to bring more and more people to the PSL matches,” he said.
Afridi said the matches in Karachi and Lahore will be full-houses and the players enjoy the game when the grounds are packed with crowd.
“I can see three to four players who can make a place in the national team from this year’s PSL,” said the all-rounder.
