The major opposition party PML-N has finalized the names of the chairmen of standing committees on Friday.
According to sources, the decision was made in a party’s advisory committee meeting held with the chair of party head Shehbaz Sharif.
The chairmanship of nine standing committees including Science and Technology, Communication, Railways, Information, Defence Production.
Sources said that the final decision has been left on the opposition leader in this connection as the opposition will appoint 18 and government can appoint 20 chairmanships of 20 committees.
Sources mentioned that PPP will get six, MMA 2 while ANP will get the chairmanship of a committee.
“Speaker NA will issue the notification of the chairmen of the standing committee as the opposition has decided to submit all details in NA speaker in this connection,” sources said.
