
Over all political and security situation of the country, National Agriculture Emergency Programme and other important issues were also came under discussion in the five-hour-long meeting held at the Prime Minister’s office.
The meeting gave green signal for appointment of heads of different public sector enterprises. Federal Information Minister will brief the national about the meeting shortly.
The cabinet discussed a 30-point agenda in the meeting and approved various points of the agenda. The premier was given a detailed briefing on reforms in the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) revenue division. Extension of licenses of different airlines and private charters were also came under discussion in the meeting.
Earlier, the federal cabinet meeting, on the recommendation of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), had approved to place Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif’s name of the Exit Control List (ECL) on February 21.
The forum, which had met in Islamabad with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair, hailed the premier’s stance against India and termed it a wise decision.
